’still‘
in the exhibition ‚WIND‘, yearly exhibition of the GEDOK in Buchheim.
24. October 2020 through 9. May 2021
With her contribution ’still‘ (2020), loop, Tanja Hemm applies the utmost tool of sound reduction: stillness. Tanja moves the listener through the surrounding the space. The listener becomes her instrument: he listens, he listens more, he looks for the origin of the sounds existing inside and outside of the room, he perceives every sound with his utmost concentration. The process of listening moves the acoustic reception from outer to inner listening. It radiates the corresponding, the borderlining between public and private space, interaction becomes collaboration.
