Musical education, M.A. American Literature/Media 1994 (oral traditions/radio) University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, master classes voice/performance with Anne Waldman (USA), Ian Magilton (F), Mel Churcher (GB). 1989 -1999 writer for public radio, lived in the US, NZ and Australia. 2000 – 2005 ‚wortwerkstätten‘ training migrant children in writing and listening, since 2002 site specific sound work on 90 locations internationally. Tanja lectures/mentors on site specific sound, stillness, private/public/digital space, inner/outer listening. Milestones: ‚WC 2006 – international soundnet public toilet‘, (guerilla) mobile application ‚art•sounds‘ (2010/11), ‚Arsenale Brain‘, Porta Nuova Tower, Arsenale, Venice (2012), The Big Sleep, Haus der Kunst, Munich (2019), in the collection of the Museum der Moderne, Salzburg, Museum für Kommunikation, Nuremberg e.g..

Since 2012 teaching assignments University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück for Sounddesign (listening education/creation) and Methodology of scientific wriitng, selfmanagement and creativity tools, which is also a mentor program for students. Since 2016 Sounddesign University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

From a family of musicians and yogis, Tanja performed with her accordeon from the age of four and joined her Mum and Granny in their daily yoga practise even earlier. Tanja loves the beauty and intensity of ’simple‘ in all aspects of life.
